Northern Ireland Judo invitation to Commonwealth member countries |

2012 is to be an important year for UK Judo with Commonwealth Championships in Cardiff, Wales and the London Olympics. The Northern Ireland Judo Federation invites Judoka of Commonwealth Countries to visit Northern Ireland. A visit could take the form of a training camp, training at local clubs or just a social visit to soak up Irish culture. Northern Ireland has over 60 judo clubs and over 2,000 participants.
Northern Ireland Judo has been successful in producing several World class players who have competing in five separate Olympic Games. In addition to large Leisure Centres with their own judo clubs, a new Judo Centre of Excellence (North West Regional Sports Campus) is to open in the city of Londonderry during early 2012.
